Setting the stage:We started the project by visiting a weather station - the Lighthouse at Kregnæs
Focusing the inquiry: Inspired by the visit seeing how the weather is measured, the students desided to examine the weather themselves. In a brain storm they decided that weather can be devided into four cathegories: Wind, rain, temperature and sun.
Designing the inquiry: The students decided which of the four cathegories they wanted to examine. Then they designed their investigations - here a rain gauge.
Their drawings decribed their ideas and include lists of the materials they would like to use. It is of significance that the students build exactly what they have been drawing. However if they would like minor change or ajustments - and are able to argue in favour of these, the teacher might allow these.

Validating and disseminatingThe students presented their projects in class - questions were asked and challanges in the process discussed.
